ABOUT BE LINGUAL! SUMMER CAMP
Spanish Fun & Learn (Pre-K):
This engaging program allows children to gain exposure and improve their confidence in Spanish. It gives youngsters a foundation upon which to build the language through songs, stories, puppets, dance, games and arts & crafts. It is an instructive and fun way to learn in a supportive and nurturing environment. Children do not need prior exposure to the language.
Spanish Theater and Music I (K - 1):
Designed to nurture and stimulate the creativity of young children in Spanish, children enter a world of traditional stories, fairy tales and songs. They have a lot of fun singing and acting out these short stories through the use of puppets and skits. Children begin to express themselves in Spanish with guidance from the instructor (some prior exposure to the language is helpful but not mandatory). They will also be participate in arts & crafts that they will take home each week. This program helps build excitement in Spanish upon which the foundation can continue to grow. Students will perform for their parents and friends! It will be filmed and you will be able to watch it on our website. Newsletters and pictures will be sent home every week!
Spanish Theater and Music II (Grades 2 to 4):
Designed to nurture and stimulate the creativity of children ages 8 to10 in Spanish, students enter a world of traditional stories and songs. They have a great time learning the music and acting out these stories through the use of short plays. Children begin to express themselves in Spanish with guidance from the instructor (some prior exposure to the language is helpful but not mandatory). They will also be engaged in arts & crafts activities that they will take home each week. This program helps build excitement in Spanish upon which the foundation can continue to grow. Students will perform for their parents and friends! It will be filmed and you will be able to watch it on our website. Newsletters and pictures will be sent home every week!
Additionally, the target language will be used. Weather permitting children may also participate in activities such as:
- Sports and Playground activities
- Water activities and/or swimming-pool
- Light cooking representative of countries in the target language
- Yoga and movement
- Music
- Local walking trips (farmers' market, local restaurants, parks, etc)
- Arts & crafts
Each program is limited to only 12 students for Pre-K / K / 1st grade & 15 students for 2nd to 4th grade (6 students minimum).
Each child will receive a FREE T-shirt.
CAMP HOURS:
Full Day: 9 AM to 3 PM
Extended hours: 8 AM to 9 AM; and 3 PM to 5 PM
Half day in Morning: 9 AM to 12 PM

There is a one-time $25 registration fee for families that are not enrolled in Be Lingual! during the school year 2011-2012. The summer camp registration fee will be valid for the school year 2012-2013. |

One half of the tuition shall be paid upon registration and the balance is due one month before your child’s start date at camp. Full refunds will only be issued if notice is given one month before your child’s start date. 50% refund will be issued if notice is given at least two weeks before your child’s start date. After that, no refunds will be issued.

HOLA Parents: Be Lingual! encourages bilingual education and has an agreement with HoLa in Hoboken. If you are an HoLa family (your children are currently enrolled in HoLa or will start there in September, 2012) please mention it on the comment section of the registration form. We will send you a payment link once you have registered your children.
