As a French family living in Jersey City, we were worried that our son, who is turning 8, would not be able to read and write correctly his mother tongue. For this reason, we enrolled him in the “young Diplomat” French class since he started Kindergarten. With little but necessary homework given by his French teacher and 2 hour class every week, he now can read and write in French and even better he’s enjoying it.
It's so great to have a bilingual educational outlet in Jersey City. We've completed two years of classes and my daughter's understanding of Spanish has really progressed each year. More importantly, she is always excited about going to class.
My child loves going to Spanish class each week. She is excited to learn new words and songs and she often repeats them throughout the week. The activities that the teacher puts together is her favorite part because it is fun for her while helping to reinforce the new language she is learning.
My 19 month old sings "Abre Cierra" all the time and "De la cabeza a los pies" and knows all the body parts as well in Spanish as she does in English. She sings to the CD all the time.
I enrolled my son in Be Lingual’s Spanish class a few months ago and am very satisfied with the class. It is very interactive, and teaches the language to the kids through the use of their bodies. The learning by doing approach is proving very efficient as my son has learnt and uses many Spanish words already. I am very satisfied with all aspects of the class content: the fun, the nature of the activities, the choice of vocabulary, and the rhythm of the class
Before Noa started Be Lingual he refused to speak French to his father, who only spoke French to him. When he started class he soon realized that other kids were speaking French as well and that encouraged him to start talking. The classes are so much fun with music, dance, games, and even theater that Noa can't wait for his classes!The improvement he has made in the past year is really impressive. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to add another language in their family.
My 2 year old daughter started her French class in the winter 2008. Her love for the class is immense. She looks forward to going every week. Her grasp of the language has greatly improved due to her attendance. The CD helps her with vocabulary. The class is wonderful and I truly can't say it enough. I have been working with my daughter on my own and since I started her in this class she is progressing much quicker! This class is very well rounded and I recommend it highly.
My 5 year old daughter has become so motivated to learn French since she started Be Lingual classes and she listened to the CD so much that I had to buy a few more French CD's - and that's all she wants to listen to. She loves her teacher and her classmates and can't wait to show off any new words she has learned. She even asks me to test her on French words almost every day. The songs and the games make it for her to absorb information; a perfect combination of fun and learning.
Diane has a wonderful spirit that appeals to both the children and their caregivers. The course is well-designed. The lessons tie in naturally with the children's interests and the class itself has a wide variety of activities that keeps all the students engaged.
I enrolled my son in Be Lingual’s Spanish class when he was just over 3 years old. Within a class or two he was able to spear and understand about a dozen words, and by the end of the semester he was able to carry on a simple conversation in Spanish. The method Isabelle and Nuria employ makes learning Spanish easy and fun. As important as the method is, the exceptional quality of the teacher. She brings an enthusiasm to the class that is infectious, extensive use of puppets and songs keep the children engaged. I recommend the program without reservation. I even learnt as much Spanish as my son from the classes!
Muy Bien! Las clases son excellentes! I would recommend this class to all moms with kids ages 1.5-5. The teacher is great, very energetic and understanding.
My daughter really enjoyed going to the Spanish class - so much so that she asked me to take her over the weekend. The instruction is wonderful. The teacher is patient and I would recommend the class to anyone interested in exposing their child to another language.
A second language is crucial in today’s society. I wanted my son to learn Spanish at an early age so the language would be a natural part of his life. When I signed Ryan up for Be Lingual I couldn't imagine how they would teach a 4 year old Spanish. I have to say this class has surpassed my expectations. The class is fun and engaging. Miss Nuria uses creative age appropriate props to make learning fun. The songs are very "catchy" and my son and I find ourselves singing in Spanish all the time. The vocabulary to remember and homework are great tools to help us use Spanish in our daily routines. It's been a great way to spend quality time together while learning. We're looking forward to our next class.
I love the idea of exposing kids to a second language as soon as possible so when I found out about Be Lingual classes for 1.5 and 2 year olds I was very excited to enroll my son and I have been so happy that I did. My son has a lot of fun in class playing games and singing songs. The Spanish teacher is wonderful with the kids and makes the classes a lot of fun and you can tell that a lot of thought and planning goes into the classes. My son is not even 2 yet and I was surprised at how quickly he started to use Spanish words on his own. I would definitely recommend Be Lingual! to other parents.
As someone who spends considerable time in China on business, my inability to freely converse in Chinese has always been frustrating and challenging. I wanted to offer my son (3.5) an early introduction to this important language so he may one day avoid similar challenges. I wanted this to happen in a unstressful and fun environment to ensure he has a positive 1st experience with the language. BeLingual has been an extremely positive experience! Our instructor (Jianuo) created a curriculum which is well suited for his age and combines learning through art, music and games. The classes are well prepared (with class notes and corresponding MP3s) and the instructor manages to keep the children interested for the entire hour. Most importantly, our son loves the class and is looking forward to it every week. He enjoys the fact that he can now count in a different language and uses it frequently. We are already planning our joint trip to China...
I am very happy with the Chinese class for 3-4 year olds being run in Hoboken by BeLingual! I happen to speak the language a little and my son took an interest in it, but at his age he just wants to play and I have no reason to pressure him to study. The teacher, Jianuo, is really great! She is very patient with the rambunctious little ones and provides age-appropriate play-oriented activities for short attention spans. She is very focused and attentive, catching every learning opportunity but never being demanding. I'm just very pleased with this class!
My daughter has shown a greater interest in Chinese after her classes. Her teacher incorporates activities like crafts and games which makes learning fun and enjoyable for the kids. She is also starting to recognize some simple chinese characters and can also try writing them. She enjoys chinese songs and stories more now, and likes especially singing the "two tigers" song, which she can sing all on her own. Her progress and interest is something that I do not think I would have been able to achieve on my own with her at home.
My daughter (4 years old) loves her weekly Chinese class with Jianuo. Even though we have no background in Chinese, she amazed me by picking up the sound of the language, and can speak phrases and numbers. We intend to continue through the summer and definitely in the Fall, when her older sister (8 years old) will start taking classes too.
